Project Description

Objectives and Expected Outcomes

The project AI-LingoLearn seeks to integrate Artificial Intelligence into English language teaching and learning, providing modern, inclusive, and effective methodologies for both teachers and students.

Key Objectives:
For teachers:

• Integrate AI tools into language classrooms

• Enhance digital and pedagogical competences

• Support the development of transversal skills such as collaboration, communication, and entrepreneurship

For students:

• Utilize AI applications (e.g., chatbots, translation tools) for improving language skills

• Foster communication, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding

• Support students with special needs through adaptive technologies

For partner schools:

• Strengthen collaboration across Europe

• Share innovative teaching practices and resources

• Increase inclusiveness and personalization in education

Outcomes will include improved language proficiency, higher digital competence, enhanced student motivation, and a replicable model for AI integration in schools.

 

Motivation for the Project and Need for Funding

AI technologies offer immense potential to transform language learning, making it more engaging, inclusive, and personalized. This project is motivated by:

• Increased demand for digital and AI competence among educators

• Need for inclusivity for students with diverse needs (e.g., DSA, BES, economic, linguistic, or hearing difficulties)

• Accessibility and cost-effectiveness of AI-powered tools

• Desire for innovative, collaborative approaches to education in line with the EU's Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027)

Partners from Turkey, Italy, Romania, and Spain share a unified vision but face different national challenges. Funding will enable structured collaboration, training, and implementation of AI-enhanced methods that would not be possible without European cooperation.

 

Needs Addressed

The project addresses the following needs of participating organizations:

• Turkish partner: Upskilling teachers to effectively use digital tools in language classrooms

• Italian partner: Improving lesson adaptability to meet individual learner needs

• Romanian partner: Increasing interactivity and reducing teacher workload through AI

• Spanish partner: Boosting digital competence and aligning with national digital strategies

For students, the project responds to their digital native profile by integrating interactive, gamified AI tools that cater to their learning preferences and promote motivation.

The project also supports students with disadvantaged backgrounds through targeted inclusion strategies.

 

Benefits of Transnational Cooperation

Transnational collaboration enriches the project through diversity and mutual learning. Benefits include:
